Ingredients
- 45 mlMezcalTequila's smoky cousin. Plain tequila works if you don't have it.
- 20 mlLime juiceSqueeze it fresh. Bottled juice tastes flat. 1 lime gives about 25 ml.
- 10 mlSugar syrupMake it: stir equal amounts of sugar and hot water until clear. Keeps 2 weeks in the fridge.
- 2 slicesCucumber
- Top upGinger beer
Plus ice.

No bar kit? A jar with a lid works as a shaker, and 1 tablespoon is 15 ml.
How to make a Mezcal Mule
- Press the cucumber with the lime juice and syrup in a mug.
- Add ice and the mezcal.
- Top with ginger beer and stir.
